Andrew

My love for old vehicles and machinery started before I was old enough to understand any of it. The sounds, smells, stories, and personalities of those machines became woven into some of my earliest memories.

Long before I owned a repair shop, I was the kid fascinated by family trucks, classic cars, and anything mechanical. Some of my favorite childhood memories came from riding with my grandfathers and helping my mom shift gears in her Firebird while she drove down the road.

Over time, I realized that what interested me most wasn't simply the vehicles themselves. It was the history attached to them. Who owned them. Where they'd been. What they meant to the people around them.

Part of that fascination comes from the experience of operating them. Older vehicles require you to be present. You listen to the engine, watch the gauges, anticipate the next shift, and pay attention to how every system is working together. The machine becomes more than transportation—it becomes something you actively participate in. That connection is difficult to explain, but anyone who has spent time behind the wheel of an old vehicle understands it.

That curiosity eventually led to decades of restoration projects, mechanical work, and collecting vehicles that carry personal and local history.

Today I own Precision Automotive and co-founded Quick Chrome. Whether it's a family heirloom vehicle, a forgotten tractor, or a classic car headed back to the road, I enjoy the challenge of bringing things back to life while helping preserve the craftsmanship and stories that make these machines special.

I don't just enjoy old vehicles. I enjoy the stories they tell.

1957 Chevy Bel Air

The development of Quick Chrome really traces back to a 1957 Bel Air.
I purchased the car from a close friend, and like most vehicles that have become important to me, it came with its own story and history attached to it.

One day while cleaning up the chrome bumpers, I realized I had run out of my old faithful chrome cleaner. Somewhere between frustration and curiosity, I decided to see if I could make something myself that worked the way I wanted it to.

That small experiment slowly turned into years of testing, tweaking, and eventually the creation of Quick Chrome.

Somehow, one ’57 Chevy eventually turned into two. The black Bel Air — much like the one featured in the Quick Chrome logo — came from a close friend and mentor who taught me a tremendous amount about restoration metal work. When he became unable to finish the project himself, I purchased the car and continued the restoration journey.

At this point, I think it’s safe to say the ’57 Chevrolets aren’t going anywhere.
